I'm not in the habit of measuring my time when I'm
painting or drawing, but I know today that it's almost
11 p.m., and except for a very fast bowl of soup I've been
working on art since 11 this morning. So I am ready to
sleep. Sleep is important for right brain people, as
we've discussed before, and also sometimes eludes us
at the height of our creativity. But... I have the feeling
I will have no trouble getting to dreamland tonight.
The painting tonight is my sketch from our painting
group. I hadn't seen them for a few weeks, and it
was great to see everyone, and the wonderful work
they were doing.
Have an Hey -I'm-well-rested day.

That is a long day - nice to end it with friends! Great sketch, too!
Sleep well, my friend! XOXO
I really like how this is almost mono-chromatic, which make those color touches in the background pop.
Hi Laurel,
Thanks so much. It was lovely to end it with friends, and I did sleep remarkably well. Thanks so much
for the kind wishes.

Hi Pam,
Thanks so much. I always wish I had
more time in class, but in some ways it's good to practice thinking quickly.
Take care,
Barbara
Interesting portrait, Barbara! I especially like the hair and how the red line around it makes it glow in contrast to the black (!) background.
Hi Liza,
You are sweet. The painting is on top of about 6 other paintings, and I keep vowing that I won't do any more, or I'll think of a way to clean it off, but then I take it to my group and do another one. I'm glad you like it. For a sketch it's fine.

We artists need opur sleep for sure. Recharging is the key to saying on top and doing work that's above the mark. You're work is always abovr the mark. Thanks,
Eldon
Hi Eldon,
It's true. We do need our sleep.
Your work is fantastic.
Take care,
Barbara
