Let me see. It was a great day. The cat was sick for
the second time. But we picked more apples
from our very productive tree. We went out to
a wonderful café for lunch, and it didn't rain...then.
We bought flowers and went to check out a mall
we used to go to that is now supposed to be upscale.
It wasn't, and we walked so much that I got blisters on
my feet, which reminded me of a Beatles song.
I made fried salmon fillets for dinner, and burned
myself in the process, but the meal was delicious
and we went out to see the movie The Hangover.
If you don't mind rude language, guy humour, and
liked Something About Mary, it is a non-stop
laugh. If you don't like rude, give it a wide berth,
Steven and I laughed all the way through, and kept
laughing on the drive home.
The image tonight is an art group sketch. It was
very rushed, but even though it needs at least one more
one hour session with the model, which will not happen
for obvious reasons, it caught my feeling of
tenderness towards the young woman.
Have an enjoying-the-ups-and-downs-of-life day.

Great painting! You have captured her inner joy about having a baby soon! Nice how she hold her belly with her hands. I don't think it needs any more work - it's fine as it is!
Oh, and by the way - sounds like a super day you had! Hope the burn doesn't make it difficult to hold the paintbrush....
As Anna Rosanna Dana once said, "It's always somethin!" but you aren't the kind of person to let a sick cat, blisters or a burn slow ya down much. You're on my hero list.

Hi Liza,
Thanks so much. I'm glad you don't think it needs more work, because it isn't possible to do more.

Hi Eldon,
You're definitely on my hero list. The sick cat is better, the burns went away with ice (hot olive oil in the face -- not great!), and all is incredibly well thanks to great friends like you.
Take care,
Barbara
