Fall visual feast



My son is home from university and we took the
opportunity to take a little country walk to see
the leaves. There will be no painting today -- it's a
family day all day. Some of my friends from the balmy south,
who don't see fall colours have been asking me to put some
photos on the blog.

Steven, Sam, Zoey and I took a little
walk in an old growth forest to
see the last of the autumn leaves

Zoey and I played hide and seek in this corn field.
She thought that was hilariously funny
(You do know that dogs have a great
sense of humour don't you?)



Then we went home, tired and happy.

    How wonderful it must have been to be within that forest of gold with people you love. Beautiful photos Barbara, you did a terrific job of showing us how gorgeous your autumn colors are. Thank you for taking us along on your walk. :-)

    Woo-hooo! I love these photos! What spectacular color. It must seem like a beautiful dream. I can almost hear the crunch of the dried corn and the song of the breeze shaking the leaves.

    Gorgeous photos! You are almost as good a photographer as you are a painter. Artist, Photographer, Cake Painter, Cook, Gardener, Teacher, Wife, Mom...you do everything so well.

    We probably shouldn't have been in the corn field, but there was nobody there, and it sits on the edge of a wooded path. So beautiful. This is the very last of the autumn leaves. I would so love you to see it.

    The camera I was using does all of the work for you. I'm glad the shots worked out, I was just pointing at everything and snapping away.
