I know I'm primarily a portrait painter -- especially
today -- and for the last week every second I've been
painting. But I also love interiors, landscape,
and still life.
Here's a little interior that my sister owns.
Before I started painting on small canvasses for
my smaller work I painted on watercolour paper,
then glazed my acrylic work on the paper, and
framed the painting. I used that technique in
this joyous small interior.
Have a loving-what-you-see-inside day.
Love this painting. The colors really appeal to me.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really happy painting! I love interiors. I like the colors and the composition.
ReplyDeleteWonderful paining! I like the way the chair pulls all of the colors in and gives the piece a pleasing balance.
ReplyDeleteThis has so much balance--I guess Gwen said that--but that's the first thing that came to my mind. Your color is lovely, as always.
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I have a lot of catching up to do with you. Your show looked amazing, and I love the big piece of art you're working on.
Take care,
Barbara
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteThanks I'm glad you like it. I'm not sure exactly when I did it. I started using canvas exclusively for small works a couple of years ago.
Take care,
Barbara
Hi Gwen,
ReplyDeleteYou are sweet. I really love the colour red, so the chair had to do the balancing act because red and blue are strong colours.

Hi Julie,
ReplyDeleteMy sister has a really good eye. I realized this when I saw the collection of work in her apartment and office recently. Mostly my work. I felt honoured.
