More pictures from the opening

Gill Cameron's husband, Bruce Harbinson took
some great pictures of our opening at the
Community Gallery in the Artscape Wychwood Barns.
I think the pictures maybe really are worth 1ooo
words.

People enjoying Gill's pictures

Every bit of the space was filled with people talking and
looking at our art.

As the evening went on

The crowd grew

This shot after the opening ended gives you an idea
of the space.

Gill Cameron and me at the end of
the evening, tired but very happy.

We are sitting the show every day from noon until
from Monday to Thursday and having a
closing party on Thursday night.

Have an aren't-we-lucky? day.

  1. Your gallery show paintings really pop! I'm looking at a bunch of your portrait posts tonight, because I'm working on a portrait (just posted it in progress on my blog), and I need some color punch inspiration. Right now I'm in an artistic doldrums block. I figured that Barbara Muir's work might snap me out of it! Congrats on your fine NYC show!

  2. Hi Barbara,

Your show is absolutely beautiful. The colours in all your paintings filled the room with life. As for Gill's fabulous work, it was very nostalgic for me. It pulled me back to a time when we were a family and the joys of those annual summer camping trips. Thanks for the pleasures.

    Love,
    Josephine

  5. Hi David,
I looked at the portrait and was so impressed. Don't take off the light behind his head though. It's very painterly. Your not in an artistic doldrums, you're just working too hard. Have a cup of tea, and do something else.

I'm very flattered that you say I'm an inspiration. Thanks so much.
It was a great opening and show in New York, this one's right in my own neighbourhood.

  7. Hi Flora,

It is an absolutely amazing space. I was sitting the show today and couldn't help marvelling at the space the whole time. The show looks wonderful, the deep arched windows are fabulous, and the place is hopping. Thank you for your encouragement. Miss you.

  8. Hi Norene,

So are you still doing the café? I hope so because I do need to blog every day. It's been quite the year, and I would love to see you.
Not sure exactly when we're coming.

Say Hi to Greg, you're make me anxious to go. I have the most amazing peonies in my kitchen right now with blooms the size of dinner plates.
