Garden triumph
Acrylic on canvas

Hi everyone. I missed a day this weekend because I
was taking time to celebrate by doing absolutely
nothing -- my mode of least resistance when I
am looking for a happy time. Actually I read my
novel and planned some marking. But I also
did paint quite a bit. The joyous part is that I'm
suddenly on fire with ideas and a renewed gusto.
So you can expect more, even now that I will be
going back to teaching. But the painting I'm
working on is not quite done. (Well you know
I am actually working on about five pieces in
bits and pieces as my ADHD takes me from
one canvas to the next like a honey bee collecting
creative nectar). Forgive my writing. It's late at
night, and I'm working on an unfamiliar computer.
Here's an image of one of the pieces I'm very, very
happy with so far. Small changes will happen
tomorrow, then we're off to the races.
Have a loving-your-work-it's-your-life day.
Yes I expected you’d be full of beans, celebrating your birthday on hallowe’en and vice versa– that’s a double treat if there ever was one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful exuberant flowers, so defiant of impending cold weather - saying Boo to winter light.
Many, many, many happy returns dear Barbara!
love, Marcia
ooooh, this is truly luscious Barbara, love the blue/orange contrasts and the pansies below are devine too, just like velevet on those petals. It's exciting that you feel bursting with renewed joy & ideas in your painting. Have a ball!
ReplyDeleteHi Marcia,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I need to get a better photo of them,
but I'm up to my ears in marking.
Love Barbara
Hi Sally,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. It is terribly exciting. The next challenge is finding the time, but that will happen soon.
Happy Halloween.
XOBarbara
