Thanksgiving

Dear friends,

This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving.  My son is home from
university.  The studio has to convert back into a dining room.
Before I rush out to buy all of the standard food stuffs and
pumpkins,  I just want to thank you for the wonderful
contribution of wisdom, art, kindness and affection you've
added to my life.
This year's crop of Morning Glories,
one of the many things I'm thankful for.

More to come.

  3. Barbara, I would like to thank you for the tremendous inspiration you are. I read several artist's blogs almost daily, and I save yours (the best) for last both because of your paintings and because of your writing. It has been fun to armchair travel with you to Europe and even to nearby places in Canada (am in Texas). Most of all I am inspired that you paint and post just about every day, and that your work is unique and wonderful. Thank you for the great blessings I have received through your work and your blog. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! Kay

  6. Hi Kay,

I am so touched by your comment. I'm glad that you like what I do. That makes me happy beyond compare. It is cold here in Toronto tonight with a threat of frost in the outlying areas. So I think I'll think about you in Texas where it's warm.

Thanks so much for your kindness.

    Take care,

    Barbara

  7. Hi Melinda,

You're onto me. Yep I tried to bump up the colour to get them somewhere approaching the deep, incredible blue that they really are, but my camera and even the touch up just can't get it. You will have to visit when they're at their best. And this is the best crop I've ever seen. They are all over everything in the backyard.

  8. Hi Eldon,

It would be so nice to sit around the table eating and joking with my blog friends. I imagine that the laughter and stories would go on for days. Happy Thanksgiving to you too. I know my American relatives will be celebrating a few weeks before Christmas. I'll be thinking of you then.

    Take care,

    Barbara
