We drove to Windsor, Ontario last night
(5 hours) and back tonight (5 hours).  It was
an amazing trip and I'll tell you all about it tomorrow.
But I have to get up in five hours.  So here's
the fastest sketch ever of my son Sam tonight
from Skype, done when I called to tell him we were home.
He could not talk, so I grabbed the photos in seconds and
dashed this off for you.

Have a life-is-surprising-and-it-all-works-out day.

  2. You're so right Barbara. Life is surprising and interesting. Each stage is a qualifying match for the next round. We're amateurs in some events and professionals in others. We learn and teach and share.

Your art and thoughts allow us to reflect.Ahhhhhh! Refreshing!!!!

  4. Hi Kim,

I get on a roll sometimes and don't want to stop. Sometimes when I stop I lose my momentum. Plus I was so excited about my son's wonderful work and seeing him, that I had to do something before I went to bed.

  5. Hi Jo-Ann,

I don't like to think of life as a fight, but some of the great women and men I know are fighters when it comes to having spirit. My mother is certainly one of those people -- making cookies when I talked to her this morning, though her hands hurt terribly from arthritis.

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

    Take care,

    Barbara

  6. Hi Marilyn,

I know I am lucky, and my husband and I have a great time when we travel. So this little trip in the middle of a very busy time for both of us, was a fantastic reprieve.
