I will be showing in New York this spring and I'm
finishing up my work for that show. Two of the
three paintings are close to complete, and the third
is just at the starting point. I've been working on
a study at a much smaller size for the third.
Tomorrow is a very early day -- up and on the road
by 6:30 a.m., so I am posting what I think is the
last stage of this study.
It has been a long, hard winter, and the thought of
New York sits on the horizon like an incredible dream
that will come true. I can't tell you how much I love
that city. A friend just came back from a trip to New York,
and brought me coasters that stack into an abstract
painting as a gift from the MoMA. Both of us sat in
my kitchen drifting off into our imaginations just at
the word MoMA. She was seeing images that were
totally fresh, and I was running the movie of the two
almost day long visits Steven and I made to the gallery
last spring. Cannot wait.
Have a dreaming-of-New-York-City day.

Hi Barbara,
I really like how this one has developed. I knew you had a great vision! I still really thought it was fantastic after the first stage, but this is really dynamic.
I'm looking forward to hearing your account of New York when it is all done!

Hi Nicki,
Thanks so much. Of course it will be entirely different large, but just thinking about it in paint will make me clearer on what I'm doing with the big one I think.
Miss you. I wish Saskatchewan wasn't so far away.
