Last night was the opening of the My Toronto 2011 show at
Studio Vogue Gallery. I rushed home to tell you all about it,
and Blogger was shut down so I couldn't. The artists
who use Facebook switched over pretty quickly, and
I put some images up there right away.
Guests enjoying the show and a glass of wine
of different artists' interpretation of the city. I was so happy
to see the people who came out to the opening, and
to meet some of the really terrific artists in the show. Thanks
to gallery director, Joyce Fournier and her husband Paul,
to everyone involved, and to all the wonderful guests.
I had a great time with you.
I'll show you some more images of the artists in the show
and their work tomorrow. I am painting like crazy at
the moment -- but can't show you just yet.
Have a getting-out-to-some-great-shows day.

Looks like a great time Barbara. I see your painting got a prime location right by the window for all the passers by to see.
Looking forward to finding out what you have been madly painting now!

Your painting looks fabulous in the lovely gallery! Good on you, Barbara!!
Hi Nicki,
It was really fun. Joyce Fournier the director is great. I was very lucky in the location of both of my paintings. My other one was on a far inside wall -- also a great location.
I really hope you'll find out what I've been working on later this week!

Love your new series. Gorgeous colour and strength.
Hi Linny,
Thanks so much. It does look great and made me happy to see it there.
The gallery is a beauty, and the director and her husband who kindly serves the wine are wonderful people.

What a great place for your work! I'm really liking the gallery. Your work is given a nice place and the crowd looks great too!
What a whirlwind of adventure you've had lately. I hope you are inspired for future work. Looking forward to more!
Hi Melinda,
I see a little space opening up, well actually right now most of my work is out visiting while I plan more. But I do see space for some of the ideas that came flooding into my head in New York. Of course one or two need dry weather and it's been raining for a week. I came back from New York just popping with excitement. So we will see. Of course I am always anxious to see your super work. You know that. You inspire me big time.
