the Gallery Director at Studio Vogue Gallery, sent me
some pictures today that will give you a bit of the feeling.

collectors, friends and family at the show. Really fun.

In this shot I look like I felt last Saturday -- tired
from painting hard and delighted to be there.
Thanks again to everyone who came out. If you
couldn't make it we're having another party at the
gallery on November 24th from 6 - 8 p.m.
We would really love to see you then.
Have an-enjoying-art day.
Barbara!
ReplyDeleteSo are you cute or what and glamorous too!!!!
Now I’m quadruply sorry I missed the opening. Everyone looks, including you and your work as though you’re all having a fabulous time. I better get in there and do the tour for myself. Good show, Muir, I say!!!
love, Marcia
It looks like a fabulous soiree! Your paintings shine with life. Congratulations Barbara. You look so happy in the pictures.

Hi Nicki,
ReplyDeleteI was (am) so happy. You know how it is when the show goes up. Whew! Done.
Time to party.
I sure would have loved to see you there.
XO Barbara
just discovered your blog...great work, love the reception photos
ReplyDeleteHi Celeste,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. We certainly had fun.
Take care,
Barbara
Barbara! Awesome! Your paintings are so vibrant and full of energy and colour. I love them! I had hoped to come and then couldn't but I will put the 24th in my calendar and cross my fingers. Have a great birthday celebration with your son! Cheers,
ReplyDeleteKim
The painting of Hannah on the motorbike painting is soooo amazing Barbara...I am blown away by it and it should be winning awards. The colour and detail...the familiar, yet unfamiliar. Not only is this a beautiful , alive portrait of a lovely young woman, but it is also a portrait of that familiar superstore parking lot...and that places this painting in a particular time and place. It will be an historical reference point one day that will capture 2011 in a way that photography couldn't.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the show pieces. it gives us all an idea of how big and bright your work is!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, it's so nice to see how happy you look and how beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAnd your paintings are amazing - I hadn't realized how big they are.
I very much regret I can't be there in person!
You and your paintings look beautiful, Barbara! (I'm happy to see that you had a great turnout of art lovers, too!)
ReplyDeleteGreat, great photos! I love how your work is highlighted. Your paintings look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you. You must be so proud of your accomplishment.
Thank you for sharing the images. Whoo-hoo!
Beautiful, beautiful YOU! Congrats on this gorgeous show. It's so fun to see your paintings on the wall and to be reminded of the scale... especially fun to see the subjects of your Love on the High Line painting. They must LOVE it!!! WOO HOO! XOXO
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely love to see you then if you're in town. Wouldn't that be a hoot. Love your work.
XO Barbara
Hi Flora,
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could persuade the town of Fredericton to buy it. That would be nice eh? You are very sweet. So sorry about the tree. Very sad.

Hi Pam,
ReplyDeleteYes the work certainly is bright. Big and I'd like to go bigger, but just getting the canvas home in my car is problem one.
After that we'd be sailing. Right?
Love your work.
XO Barbara
Oh Liza,
ReplyDeleteI would just love to see you walk in the door. I think my heart might stop with excitement, but it would start again right away. Love the London paintings.
I've been there, and can feel how great it is looking at them.
