Perfect day and a painting in stages

It is high time to garden, but our weather has been so
odd that we're a bit afraid of frost still.  But today
the garden was a sea of Forget-Me-Nots -- the most
beautiful blue.  So perhaps the time has come. Spring
in full flower.

Today I'm showing you three stages of a painting.
The latest stage first.

I hope you had a good painting day too.

Have a seeing-clearly-and-gratefully day.

Wow! I was just commenting here, when I clicked back and saw this beauty.

Thank you for sharing your process. Way cool.

I don't think there's anyone who can paint flowers as full of life and energy as you.

Fabulous!

Fabulous to see all three stages - you're in your glory with this beautiful arrangement and of course I look forward to seeing your work emblazoned and projected in Times Square and also Melinda's and Flora's too!!!!!!!
Love (in all its cases)

I am having a wonderful painting day, too. I am now taking a break and what a treat to visit your site and find this beautiful painting. Gorgeous, happy colors! It is always helpful to see how artists develop their paintings. Thank you for sharing your process!

Hi Marcia,
Just went to Times Square last night in the rain -- awesome. Yes that would be fun, although I have no idea where it would show. So gorgeous there. Hope you are drawing and painting in Europe. It's so wonderful here.

Love it.

Love,(in every case)

Barbara

Hi Linda,

Thanks so much.

Of course the process is a bit different every time. I don't usually start with a black ground -- but it worked there. Love your portraits so much -- so much character.
