art. In this house it's hard to turn around without
seeing my work -- sometimes stacked in boxes, leaning
against walls, on top of cabinets, three deep, and
of course hanging everywhere. But it's always nice
to encounter work I hardly remember when I
visit someone else's place, and there it is.
This painting that's just inside my son
Christopher's front door caught my eye the
other day. It's a view of our street, Cherrywood
Avenue that I've painted many times -- the feeling
changing in every one. Maybe I'll do a blog showing
a collection of them coming up. Meanwhile, yes there
is more to come in the 'what have I been up to?' file.
I hope you've had a great holiday time. We've had
a lot of snow since the day after Christmas. I had to say
goodbye to the valiant pink geranium in a pot on the
back porch. It still had blooms on December 25.
That was a long, long season.
Have an enjoying-the-start-of-the-year day.

Hi Barbara, a bit late but nevertheless from my heart I wish you and your family a wonderful, successful year 2013!
I am experiencing the same at the moment, as we are back in France for a few days, visiting friends in their homes here. And in several of them I get to see old, forgotten paintings of mine which is interesting and sometimes a nice surprise!
For some reason the ability to type something here in comments just stops inbetween so I couldn't finish my first comment. Well, I just wanted to add that your little painting is very sweet! Love, Liza
Hi Liza,
I don't know what the comment problem is, but I had that on a friend's blog too. Your paintings are so lovely -- I'm sure you must feel happy when you see them. And the cool thing is that our styles change a bit, so you think hmmm so that's what I was doing then.
Happy New Year to you and the family. So glad you got a chance to get to France.
Love,
Barbara

Hi Sally,
Thanks so much. I love your Holiday card. The snow is wonderful, and because I visit that town so often, the image is especially lovely.
