First pansies

The weather is beautiful out today, but tonightthe temperature in Toronto is expected to fall
to zero degrees Celsius or 32 Fahrenheit and it
could go lower, because we have frost warnings!
I have some pansies in pots, (not planted yet), and
I have to bring them inside. Cold springs happen,
but this is really cold. Imagine searching for
your winter gloves in May. And yesterday as Steven
and I were coming home from shopping it was
snowing! Snowing! On May 12th in Toronto.
I finished my little painting of pansies today, and
I hope we don't get frost tonight because I've been
dreaming of those peach trees we saw Saturday
and the peaches in August. Such a treat.
Have a keeping-warm-and-creative day.

Beautiful, Barbara.
The weather is just as dreadful in London this year. I am still in big sweaters, warm jackets and boots and that for 9 months now! Unbelievable and depressing! Somehow I've nearly given up on expecting summer to come...
Take care, keep warm.
Hi Liza,
Thank you. Today it is warm here. We are on a bit of a roller coaster ride with the weather. Snow on Sunday, hot on Wednesday. But everyone wants the heat. It is just a normal, beautiful spring day. Hurray! We must enjoy it one day at a time.
XOXOXO Barbara
Beautiful pansies ... in what I think of as springtime complements, yellow and purple. They make one's heart sing ... whatever the temperature.
Hi Laura,
Thank you so much. It is hot today in Toronto, the temperature is bouncing up and down like a ball on a basketball court. Love your paintings. Happy spring.
XO Barbara
