Spring's bounty

Pansies are perfection

This has been a slow starting spring in Toronto and I
don't mind.  I love the cool days, the soft green of
new leaves, and even the rain.  But for avid gardeners
the cool is unfriendly.  At the garden center the
salesman told me it was too early to plant.  Still the
bonus was that pansies were on at less than half
price, and I am a major fan.

You can expect some more paintings on this theme.
These gorgeous flowers feel so celebratory.
It is only a month since we had snow in our
backyard!

If you notice that I've included a price for the work
it's because Alyson Stanfield says we should let
people know our work is for sale when it is, and add
what it costs.  Done.  Thank you Alyson.

Happy slow spring!

Have a loving-what-you-see day.

  2. I love the smell of pansies...takes me right back to being a school child, I would pick some from my mothers garden and carry them to school to take for the teacher...smelling them all the way there in my fist...of course those were the days of walking to school and I used to walk about 8 blocks. Not too many obese kids in those days!
Your pansy painting is lovely. I still have 2 of your lovely pansy ones in my gallery. Adding prices is necessary in this day of online sales...I have discovered people do want to know.

  3. Hi Marcia,

Thank you. I intend to. You are right. It's a beautiful day today. I delivered 10 bags of rose petals to Christopher for a shoot. That was a lot of rose petals. Very springy.

  4. Hi Sally,

I remember that too. How lovely. When my kids were little we moved across from a school, so they could walk there in a minute. But they walked about 12 blocks or more to high school. I think they were lucky to be that close.

Glad you think it's okay to price things. I guess I need to say people can pay by PayPal, the easiest option all round.

    XOXOXOXO Barbara
