(There are now 7 paintings in the Ocean series
these paintings are part of. Some day my plan
is to run them right around a gallery. But as it
is they look pretty amazing with three).
Today's the big day. I will be at Studio Vogue Galleryfrom 6 - 8:45 p.m. The invite says 6-8, but we can
stretch it if you're late getting home from work.
I'd love to see you. Anette Walter's work is beautiful,
and I am very happy with my part of the show.
It looks wonderful in the gallery. Joyce Fournier
and her husband Paul, put on a lovely opening. I am
so looking forward to seeing you there. It
should be fun.
Have a coming-to-an-art-show day.
All three paintings DO look amazing together, and an entire room of them encircling the viewer would be magical. Great handfuls of luck today - I hope it's a stellar event! XOXO
ReplyDeletehave fun at the opening Barbara, I know you will. They look wonderful alltogether.
ReplyDeleteSending you love and joy in this most wonderful of nights! I hope it went perfectly! Congratulations!! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara
ReplyDeleteI hope your show is a great experience and success! These paintings are amazing together. I wish I could have gone to the opening, but I am still in that "painting all day everyday exhaustion stage".
The clouds must look amazing when viewed on a wall.
Thanks for your comments on my blog. Positive words can make such a difference on our sensitive artist's psyche!
I hope you had an amazing night and I wish I was close enough to pop in and surprise you! I hope you have photos of the gallery to show us when you have time. I'm sure your work looked stunning.
ReplyDeleteXO Nicki
Hi Belinda,
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was a wonderful event.
Yes I'd enjoy seeing a room of them, and an audio installation with interviews. Where I wonder? The MoMA?
XOXOXOXOXO Barbara
Thank you Sally,
ReplyDeleteIt was a great night. I hope you're having fun painting!
XOXOXOXO Barbara
Thank you Laurel,
ReplyDeleteLove and joy back to you. It was a very special night. Great people, good champagne! So fun.
XOXOXOXO Barbara
Hi Catherine,
ReplyDeleteThe painting day and night to exhaustion part of preparing for a show is not all the fun it's cracked up to be. But your results are always well worth the hours in the studio obsessing. Love your work.
Thank you for your kind comments. You are right they make a big difference.
XOXOXOXO Barbara
Hi Nicki,
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I missed your comment. I do have some shots of the gallery. Most of my photos are against the other artist's work! Which is fine.
It's been a crazy week, I hope to find some pictures to post tomorrow.
I so wish you could pop over to Toronto and vice versa. You know I love your work.
XOXOXOXOXO Barbara
