Dear friends in the blog world, and the wide world,
the other day my blog reached
200,000 hits. That is mind blowing.
Here are 5 things blogging has taught me:
1. There is a community of like-minded
artists out in the wide, wide world, and
I am super blessed to know them.
2. When you care about the work other
people create, they will care about yours.
3. The Internet is an incredible gift for
artists, in terms of joining a world wide
neighbourhood, sharing techniques, selling art,
gallery info, and appreciating one another.
4. Pay attention to the marketing tips
of Alyson Stanfield. She has been a
great friend and official and unofficial
mentor.
5. Say thank you to everyone who helps you.
And to that end.
6. Thank you everyone!
who shares their own work, comments onmy blog, buys my work, displays my
work in their galleries and who
comes by and notices what I'm trying to do
-- you make my day! ;-)
Have a thanking-your-friends day
Congratulations and well deserved! And Thank You for being one of the many incredibly supportive artists out there and for your kind comments on my blog. You are the best!
ReplyDeleteThank you Catherine. I so love what you've been doing lately. It's like a love song to the Toronto I've spent so much time in. You are for sure the best too! ;-)
ReplyDeleteXOXOXOXO Barbara
Visiting your blog is like a visit to the sunny side of the street - sun and laughter. I love the drawing and yes, I'll have another cup of coffee, thank you!

Thank you Marcia. Coffee, and then -- hey where did I leave my novel?
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you can tell that this breakfast was about the oatmeal! Not an egg, or fry in sight.
XOXOXOXO Barbara

ReplyDeleteHi Laurel,
ReplyDeleteThank YOU for all of your beautiful inspiration. I can run a slide show in my head of your gorgeous work. Hey! I think I should do a portrait of you! Uh Huh! Something to think about for 2015.
XOXOXOXOXO Barbara
Barbara: I am always humbled by your warmth and support. I am so happy to know I can play a small role in your art career.
ReplyDeleteHi Alyson,
ReplyDeleteYou are way too kind. The truth is that even when you don't know it, you've played a huge role in my art career. I know I have a long way to go to get it as together as you could teach me to be. But I think of you almost every day, and everything I've done to help get the work out has been helped by your terrific advice.
XOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara
