Memories of Sunday

The drawing today could be the illustration for
the all day seminar my cat, Professor Dr. Timbah
taught on relaxation with his colleague, Professor
Fiona the cat on Sunday.  Saturday was an all
afternoon photography session.  Monday I was back
to work full force -- but I am grateful to the dear
professors for the lessons of Sunday.
 Professor Timbah
Timbah's schedule for the day was delivered
personally bit by bit so as not to disturb the
participant. (Me).
Overall Schedule:
Morning -- Sleep In late
First session -- coffee and reading a novel
Second session -- lunch as the first session
took all morning.
Afternoon session -- extended rest in bed with novel
Break sit in real sun with cup of tea on the back porch
with Professor Fiona -- who seemed
preoccupied with bird culture.
Professor Fiona's selfie

Professor Timbah's excellent relaxation
model teaching method involved sleeping
all day curled up near the participant.  He accompanied
the deeper relaxation sessions alternately
with the sounds of a hammer (Timbah snoring)
and sound of someone humming (Timbah
snoring.)

Looking back I'd say the course taught me
that working 24/7 is fine, but slowing down
is delightful.

Thank you Timbah and Fiona

Have a balancing-your-life day.

  4. Hi Sally,

Thank you so much. I suppose I should have included Professor Sally, who off and on joined the other professors to snore on her comforter on the floor at the end of the bed. The day of rest was superb!

  5. Hi Marcia,

I'm glad you like it. I may do a painting later of the light. It was quite spectacular.

  6. Hi Verna,

I am glad. I actually took notes in pencil during that day, because Timbah was determined that I should finish an entire book in one day. I remember when you read all day. I think that's what inspired the professors -- reading your post. I wish I could report that it was a good novel -- nope. It almost didn't matter! Reading a great book in my free moments now, and I may share that info on the blog.

    XOXOXOXOXO Barbara

  8. Hi Laurel,

Thank you. I think you live at a very fast pace indeed, and reading about your work and life, I always feel impressed. So we artists do need breaks too, because that brain never really turns off.

    I so love your work.

    XOXOXOXOXO Barbara
