Nudge (I call this Nudge -- because that was the book the man was reading.
I looked it up and it was a very difficult book on perception.)

Each week this month when a family member goes for a cancertreatment, I go along. And while I am waiting in the waiting
room, I draw the other people. No one there is having a wonderful
time. They are tense, worried, and some of them will be enduring
painful treatments. I have to draw very quickly. If I have two
minutes to draw someone that is good, sometimes I just have
30 seconds before the person is called.

Here are some of my sketches. I am paintingtoo but sometimes I take a long time to finish a painting.
I wish everyone I saw today great cures and good health
in 2017.
Have a moving-towards-your-own-good-health day.

I love your sketches. Great way to spend time waiting.
Sorry I missed your call....was at the movies. I'm painting tomorrow so in and out of the house...can't wait to share with you. xoox Hope you didn't have to wait too long at the doctor's.
Barbara, I am always in awe of your drawings.
They are sooo good!! And even more as you manage to capture your subject in such short time! Wonderful. All the best wishes for the recovery of your family member!
Hi Flora,
Thank you so much. Glad you got to the movies, haven't been for months.
Actually the wait was very short. And all is well. Thank you.
XOXOXOXOXO Barbara
Hi Liza,
Thank you so much. I love your drawings and paintings, and miss seeing them.
I was looking at a book of your paintings the other day, and thinking
about what a super artist you are!
XOXOXOXOXO Barbara
I love fast drawing, I think it shows real experience and commitment when an artist can capture a face, body, gesture, in 30 - 120 seconds. Experience and commitment are also what you are showing when you go to the hospital with family members who need treatment. I also hope the people you drew will get some positive news, one way or another.
Love to you & yours, and people in waiting rooms everywhere.

Thank you so much Verna,
I sure love your drawings, just found the envelope for your Christmas card
which is so beautiful -- no way I could throw it away.
As for hospital with family members, keeping the cheer going in
hard times is a skill I value. I wish the same to everyone I drew -- many
had support --people with them who loved them. That is moving to see like
people reuniting in airports. These are the big times in life -- love, and caring.
XOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara
