Loving this city in the Month of Bloom -- and the Raptors Won! Yay!

We are experiencing one of the most beautiful and prolonged

springs in recent years.  The lush greens, and the brilliance
of the flowers, is incredibly inspiring.  It's definitely
a "stop the car" kind of spring, and I am happily gathering
images to paint.  And tonight the whole city is celebrating
because the Toronto Raptors Won the NBA Championship!

I was drawn to the scene in this painting by the gorgeous,
vibrant lilac bush on the corner of this property. I was also
thinking of my friend Rita, who would love the rich, and
vivid mauve of this lilac.  I have never seen the lilacs
do this well.  And they are seeming to last much longer into
the season as well.  And to my over-the-top Raptors fan friend --
Raylea -- I say, "Hey we won!"
