to see Oprah live. So I am psyched my friends about getting to
see Oprah in person. I was so lucky to be chosen to draw her in a show called
Skype Around The World 10 years ago. This is the drawing
I submitted to her staff, that got me the opportunity to draw
Oprah live via Skype on that show, an experience that absolutely changed my
life. To say I'm a fan is putting things a bit mildly. I have to admit that I am
a super fan. I think Oprah is an amazing, and absolutely wonderful person.
Here's a photo from the taping of the show
back in 2009. The woman with her head down
drawing beside the Skype symbol is me.
I am trying to capture Oprah when she looks
in my direction. I've never been quite as excited and
scared at the same time.

I'm reading Oprah's book The Path Made Clear. I love the idea of
thinking about your purpose in life, something I've been working on
teaching whenever I get the chance. I also love the idea of thinking
about what we are here for -- individually, and as a country, and a planet.
That was partly the subject of my class tonight.
