Peach time -- The best

Peach party

Peaches cause a lot of excitement in our family.  My husband Steven is masterful
at canning peaches without sugar.  And we enjoyed delicious canned peaches this
year until about the end of March.  I like to freeze peaches, and didn't do enough
of that last summer.  But wow I love them.

I love this painting, which is more of less the exact still life of what I have on my
kitchen table right now.  And marking the stages of the year by peaches tells me
that 1. I think the peaches may be a little early this year, and 2. If not we are almost
at the end of summer, so enjoy every minute.  In Canada, that is a vital suggestion.

I love painting still life works of my favourite food, and favourite meals.  So
I hope you enjoy seeing this piece again.  Happy peach party.

Hi, Barbara! This is so pretty! The best pies I ever baked were fresh peach pies. A neighbor brought some peaches back for us from Utah. I used my mom's pie crust recipe and those fresh peaches to bake 2 pies. I gave one to the neighbor and kept one. Oh my gosh! It has been years and I still remember those pies:) Have a fabulous week!

Hi Candy,

You've got me hungering for some peach pie. My husband makes a mean pie. My favourite is
sour cherry, and we used to have a cherry tree, but it got a fungus, and we had to take it down. You've
just reminded me that we said we'd plant a new cherry tree this year. Of course everything is harder to find
because of COVID. I'm so glad you like the painting. And I wish you lived here and could bring over a slice of
peach pie!

XOXOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara

I hope you guys get that cherry tree planted. If I lived there, you can bet I'd bring over an entire peach pie!
