My artist friend Daniel Bordi
talked about the importance
talked about the importance
of details on Instagram.
Artists deal with details all
the time. I did today.
the time. I did today.
Sooner or later they add up
to art!
to art!
friend to come to go on a walk with me socially distanced, wearing masks
of course. My focus today is on happiness.
Later — The walk did the trick. Such a beautiful day the sky a deep
gorgeous blue, sun hitting the remaining snow, and a cheerful conversation.
Perfect. If I can concentrate on what makes me happy, I hope that I can help
other people to be happy.
I’m not sure what I’m going to show you today. We’ll see what gets done.
Later -- a lot got done. I worked on preparing a booklet for print.
Whatever happens in your life, I wish you a very happy day. Your work and
your exuberance make me feel great joy. And that’s a pretty impressive
accomplishment in these strange times.
Have a finding happiness day!

Just looking at those irises--along with your encouraging words--is a great boost!
I also love walking in the cold, I get all bundled up, and it's invigorating. Though, honestly, I often have to force myself out the door--even when I know I'll enjoy it and it will be good for me. What's up with that?!
The past year has been measure in coping mechanisms.
Hi Laura,
This ambient virus gloom, always there -- in the background, or foreground, makes
each decision seem huge. Dress warmly and go out in the cold? But when we do something we love, Wow! It's such a great feeling. My husband and I walked by the lake at sunset tonight. It was really cold, and windy, but I was warmly dressed, and it was sooooo beautiful. Love your work so much!
XOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara
Walking is the best. I too have to push myself out the door, but oh I am so happy when I am out! Gorgeous flowers.
Hi Evelyn,
I've had some amazing walks this weekend. I do love walking as long as there's no ice to worry about, and I can quit when I want to. I am so happy when I'm out too. There's so much to see.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara
