Sally the dog -- my art companion

I just finished reading Neil Pasricha’s book, You Are Awesome. What a wonderful
read. My goal in the blog is to share my work both finished, and in process, and if
at all possible to be positive.
It was a truly lovely weekend with my family letting me know how important I am
as a mother. My family is wonderful. They are funny, generous, kind and loving.
I can’t wait for the pandemic to be over so we can all get together, hug, and celebrate
inside the house.
The photo today is of my dog Sally. If you’re looking for a positive approach to life,
and someone who will be constantly supportive of your art, your writing, whatever you
do – look to your dog. Excuse the worn out floors. This our dog Sally's look of complete
contentment. What’s interesting is that when I am happy, or when Steven and I are happy,
getting along, enjoying life, Sally does this -- rolls over on her back with her legs up
in the air.
A dog is a perfect companion in lockdown and in the pandemic, because dogs are pretty
much always happy. What they want is food, affection, games, and walks. That’s it. We
could learn a lot from our dogs.
Have an enjoying your pets day.
I agree about Sally, she sure knows how to keep the peace. Now, where's that cookie?
ReplyDeleteYou do read a lot. I have a great list of potential reads and just renewed one. I love dogs too for all those reasons. One day I will have one again. Right now I have a cat and he too is great company. ❤️❣️🤗
ReplyDeleteour dog is only supportive of my art if there is food involved lol
ReplyDeleteHi Steven,
ReplyDeleteOur whole animal team is keen on living with a happy vibe. And Sally is pretty easy -- with enough cookies.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara
Hi Evelyn,
ReplyDeleteAlthough I grew up with cats and dogs, I think I was a cat person
mainly until my husband and I got the dog before Sally. For the most
part cats are 100% easier, and our Siamese cat is for sure my familiar.
All three of our animals are sweet and loving.
I had a hard time getting through a book before the last two by Neil Pasricha.
He is just a delight and easy to read. I hope I'm recovering my reading ability,
which was vanquished for most of this pandemic.
Love your work.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara
Hi Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteOur dog Sally is definitely motivated by cookies, but she also loves
hanging out with me, and with my husband.
XOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara
