Acrylic ink on watercolour paper
A week ago yesterday we lost our dear cat Timbah. I’m not religious, but I do believe
in spirits -- not ghosts, maybe a better word is presences, or influences. My father
sometimes sends me crows to let me know I’m on the right track, or to be careful.
Both of us loved crows, and I still do.
And my mother who died in 2013 is an almost constant presence in my life.
I can hear her in my mind. So when Timbah died, I was moved to do
this little painting of his spirit rising up into the sky. No I don’t believe in heaven,
but I do believe in the powerful force of love.
We love you Timbah. And you will continue to be a loving spirit in our lives.
Have a loving your family day.
I can feel Timbah’s spirit moving up into the sky. He was a beautiful, affectionate animal. Often when we visited he would cuddle with us on our laps.
ReplyDeleteRight until his last breath you and Steven took amazing care of him. I do believe Timbah was an exceptionally lucky cat to belong to your family of such devoted pet lovers!
We will all miss you sweet Timbah.

I love the spirit in the sky. I feel so much the same way about the presence of love. 🤗

Hi Marcia,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. You and David helped us so much during Timbah's final years.
We are so grateful. We totally love the boy, and the other two animals are missing
him too.
