I'm posting a painting of our older cat, Fiona. Our cat Timbah died last
summer, and in December we adopted a Tortie-point Siamese kitten,
(like Fiona),who is now ready to be spade. Not as simple as you might think.
When our older cat was in his last year, our formerly very good vet was
most unpleasant.
COVID issues aside, we didn't want to take our new kitten to that
vet. So we got a new vet clinic, and were very happy -- but
perhaps something happened in the office at our new vet, and
we did not get bills, or estimates, and most importantly a date
for our cat's surgery. As the kitten is approaching 6 months, and we'd
called multiple times to try and arrange an appointment for
the neutering surgery, we had to do something.
So today we went back to a vet from before our 14 year old
cat (the one in the picture) was born, and let's see how that
goes. We got an estimate, an appointment for the neutering
surgery, and a lovely visit with the kind vet. Fingers crossed
all will go well.
Have a loving your pets day.

Beautiful cat Fiona is❣️❣️❣️❣️ Do you do portraits of all your cats? I tried once to do a dog portrait but gave it up.
Good luck with the Vet 🤗❣️❣️❣️❣️
Dear Barbara, I'm so sorry you lost Timbah last summer.
I love the painting of Fiona. I hope things continue to go well with your new/"old" vet. My sister in Wisconsin has had some strange vet experiences in the past couple of years. We've done a little switching around here, too, because our vet (who was wonderful) retired. Here's hoping the surgery goes perfectly.
thank you for getting her spayed 😀 way too many kittens for homes
Hi Evelyn,
I have done paintings of Fiona. And I drew Timbah more than once. Also he is in
a portrait in my before the dance series because he insisted on getting on the model's
shoulder. And I've done a portrait of Sally, the dog. Thank you for your kind support.
XOXOXOXOXOXOX Barbara
Hi Candy,
It feels so complicated. We really liked the second vet we found, but suddenly all communication stopped. And although we might go back, we can't right now.
Hope all is well with you.

Hi Jennifer Rose,
It hasn't happened yet, so we'll celebrate when it's done. I had a cat get pregnant
just after university. I moved to Montreal with the mother and four kittens nursing in a box at the back of the van. I had no money, and a friend sent me $5 a week, which I spent on one loaf of bread, and a jar of peanut butter, and cat food. It all worked out. I moved back. The kittens found homes, and after some poor choices, I found my husband!

glad all the kittens found homes :) and i think we all make some poor life choices before finding out who we are and who we want to be with 😀
Thanks so much Jennifer Rose,
I know I did. I’m glad Steven and I found each other.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara
