Seen on my walk

Snowdrops

We have people working in the house today, which makes it
impossible to do my work.  My solution to this, if I want to blog
daily, (which so far I've almost succeeded in doing), is to
post a photograph.

Snow in March in Toronto is no surprise, although people
still grumble about it.  Yesterday the snow came down in the
most poetic huge flakes -- that looked just like a painting.
Birds gathered in the little Christmas tree that is somehow
still green on our back porch.  The cat sat in front of the
glass door watching them with great excitement.

But on Monday on my walk I saw my first spring flowers.
Yes they will be alright despite the snow. They're
valiant. Snow drops. So beautiful, and a sure sign that
spring is coming.

Have a loving your life day.

  2. I love snowdrops. Planted more last fall and will again. We had snow here too a few days ago. Not much and it was gone quickly. Now we have pouring 🌧 rain. That’s ok , feels good to be inside painting and feel so peaceful when the world is such a mess. 😢

  4. Hi Verna,

I think we can expect the huge snowflakes again. It was hot today though -- I was too hot sitting on my back porch wearing a sweater and jeans. We have two cats (well a cat and a kitten) and a dog. Thank you. Your posts make me happy too.

  5. Thank you so much Evelyn,
Unlike you I'm not a gardener, but I love flowers. We do have a garden,
which is pretty hit and miss, but I love it. Not happening yet. Probably
    in May. Love your work.
