Baby robins in the nest
Photo

The photo tonight is of the baby robins living in a nest on the column by
our front door. This was a couple of days ago. There were four, and
today there were two. Our hope is that they grew so much more
(they were easily doubling their size every day) that they left the nest and
went out into the wide world.
So despite my blurry photo, my message is clear. In Toronto right now
the world is filled with wonder. Robins growing above the porch,
flowering trees everywhere. Gardens including ours thick with flowers.
(our tulips are amazing this year.). You have to live through real
winter to get what a miracle this is.
Have a loving your life day.
So wonderful to have a nest on your porch! I am amazed yiu don’t have to go in the back door though. We have a nest in a cypress tree in the garden and cannot go near that area. They dive bomb and complain loudly if we go within sight 😂
ReplyDeleteHi Evelyn,
ReplyDeletethe robin wasn't bothered by us. The babies grew up the other day and left
the nest. We were worried they'd been eaten, but no. They just grew up.
Steven saw them in the tree in front of our house.

look a tad small to fly the nest already but very cool to have them so close :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer Rose,
ReplyDeleteThey were growing by inches each day, and they were much bigger when
they left the nest. Steven has seen them with their mother. All is well.
I had no idea they grew that fast.
Love your work.

birds grow really really fast! Evolution at its finest
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer Rose,
ReplyDeleteTrue. They are amazing. And beautiful, and singing all the time. A very happy
sound.
