Some things that help artists create are the exhibitions, classes,
and drawing and painting sessions they have with other artists.
We get inspired by one another, and understand one another in
ways that are unique to the artistic life.
Of course I believe that all of us live creative lives -- that includes
my husband with his gorgeous canned peaches in glass jars waiting
to make us happy mid-winter, or my friend who walks with me, trying
to organize her walk around making grape jelly.
Tonight I joined my art group for forty minutes. I felt out of touch, and
super disorganized getting ready, and incredibly happy to paint
from a live model. And the model was magnificent. She gave off a
very dignified and regal vibe. So this is the result.
