Self portrait at Fred's

Yesterday it hit me (as sometimes happens) that life is
short, and I want each day to have meaning. Of course
each day does have meaning because I live with a man
who I love, and I love my family, friends, and two cats,
and a dog. But I also mean thinking about what I want
to achieve. So many artists blogs and Instagram posts
inspire me.
Okay -- it could have been the vaccination, and the very
sore arm before that urging me to pay attention. What I
mean is that I want to use my day. I used to call days
when things seemed to come together hot days, or on days.
And this is one. I am wandering from art project to art project,
and having fun.
Oh that's the other thing. I want to have fun. So I'm
also lucky that my husband and my family are funny,
most of the time, and a lot of fun.
Today I'm showing you a self portrait I started
yesterday based on the view from a park we go walking in,
We always park across from the same house when we visit the park,
and call the home owner (who we don't know) Fred. I was trying
to photograph trees against the lake, and hit the reverse button,
so it caught me.
I started out drawing with the closest marker at hand, which was a
bit strong. But I've had fun today adding to it. Of course it doesn't
look like me -- but hey.
Have a loving your life day.
I love the idea of a rear view mirror portrait ❣️❣️❣️ I sometimes look in a rear view mirror and see a landscape scene that catches my eye so have to stop and get a photo. So much better with a person in it❣️❣️❣️
ReplyDeleteHi Evelyn,
ReplyDeleteI was trying to take a photo on my phone, and I hit that little
circle sign that points it at you, not the scene. When I saw
it later, I thought I like how candid this is.
Love your work.
