Art comes out of hiding

Today trying to find one painting, I plied through a stack of
paintings and found this portrait that I love of Henriette Sonne
a danish painter living in Norway, who I met at the Florence
Biennale.  It's a beautiful painting, and as I am back to
round the clock painting mode it made me happy.  It is
one of a series of paintings I did through Skype.  Those
paintings got me a lot of attention, and TV coverage.

This series on Henriette was one group of many portraits I did
through Skype.  As I start to contemplate portraits again, I
realize that what I loved about Skype at the time was the
intimacy and lack of formality.

It's Saturday night, and I'm going to go and watch a movie,
after a happy day.

Have a loving your life day.

  2. Thank you so much Jennifer Rose,

I do too. And I like the colour in the background. It might have
been based on the break up colours of a bad connection. Not sure.

  3. Jennifer Rose,

I think my computer deleted your second comment. I can't find it, and wish I could.
Love your work, and appreciate it so much every time you comment.

  4. The portraits are all beautiful with so much life❣️❣️❣️ How long do you work on them? The touch of computer along the bottom edge is great.

  5. Hi Evelyn,

These are from the Skype portrait time. I'm not sure. I know when I was
doing portrait commissions from live poses it used to take between 10 - 12
2 hour sessions. Plus working from photos. But a lot of the time in those
sessions was spent on breaks -- coffee, cookies, talking.
