Happy Family Day

Happy Family Day.  I hope you had a good one.  This is a holiday in
some provinces -- invented by the governments to give people a long
weekend in February during the long Canadian winter season.  We did
not see family today because of illness, and work obligations.  Instead
we went to our favourite park and fed the ducks, geese and swans, and
had a long, glorious walk looking at the lake -- an incredible colour of
blue, dazzling in the sunlight.

After most of December and January being overcast -- the sun feels
like a miracle. This painting features a girl in a family I painted in a 
series called the Times Tables back in 2013/14. Two of the paintings
from this series will be in the Woman exhibition at the Heliconian
Club opening on March 4 in Toronto.  More about that closer
to the date. I'd love to see you there.
