I’ve been thinking about a series I want to paint for a while.
Now I want to get to the prep stage, which means doing small
drawings that will eventually lead to creating paintings. I've 
just started work on that. 

The subject matter is people going out for takeout food,
or coffee. At this stage in Toronto people are still in thick
winter coats for the most part although you do see young
people in shorts, bare feet and sneakers with a winter coat
 – an odd combo.

So we’ll see how it works out and I’ll keep you up-to-date with
things as they progress. It’s exciting to have an idea sitting out in
front of you. It’s like a call that you've been waiting for.
