I’m working on the long slog interior painting, and in my breaks,
I started this painting of the beautiful pansies that are growing in
a pot at the front of the house. The weather has been absolutely
perfect for pansies – which means quite cold, and wet -- with
a bit of sun for the past two days. It was supposed to be very warm,
even hot, but smoke from the forest fires in Alberta has clouded the
skies, and lowered the temperature.
Pansies are really chilly weather flowers. A bit of sun, a lot of
rain (we've had it), and cool weather, and they thrive.
