I started a new painting today.  I also did a drawing that I'd
hoped to share with you of a Rose of Sharon bush that is 
beautiful (the plant not my drawing), but I think I got too
detailed, and without colour it is not very clear what's 
happening in the complicated drawing. 

So I went to the canvas, and began with the sky.  And it
will be a long time before that work is ready to show you.

Meanwhile, this is one of my favourites.  We go to the 
market tomorrow, and my husband will start to enquire
about the peaches he loves to can in tall glass jars, to
last throughout the winter. (It is very hot here today, and
the thought of winter seems excessive -- but the thought
of peaches is delicious.)
