The reality of the road

Every summer since we bought our little 1909 school house in
Nova Scotia, we’ve headed out on the road for the long trip
from Toronto to Pugwash, Nova Scotia.

True it is a very long way. But the journey, and our time in the
Maritimes has inspired so many of my paintings. This painting
is part of a series created from images of people at gas stations.
At the time I was just trying to capture how people looked travelling.
Now these pieces look like social commentary.

No I’m not a fan of SUVs, (if you have one forgive me),
but I do love the colour of this one.

Have a loving your life day.
