I had so much fun at the opening of A Portrait By Any Other Name today. I took off the masks for some photos. Steven my husband took this one, and it was a joke between us about my actions at the Orangerie in Paris, one of my favourite galleries.

When we visited the gallery last August, a girl was taking photos and for fun for her I pretended to be painting one of Monet’s paintings. I didn’t get close to it just moved a pretend brush in the air two feet from the painting. The guard came over and asked me to stand back. But he was smiling. When we left the gallery I asked the guard if he was an artist, and he said yes, and showed me his work on his phone.

Today I pretended to be working on my large portrait for a photo, and Steven and I laughed at the memory. I am super tired tonight, so I will show more pictures from the opening tomorrow.

Have a loving your life day.

  1. Great photo! Sort of like varnishing day at the Royal academy exhibition when Turner showed up and out a red mark on his painting 😀❤️❤️❤️

  2. Hi Evelyn,

I didn't know that story, I'll have to look it up. I didn't do anything
to the painting. Just touched it for a second.

    XOXOXOXOXOXO Barbara
